I decided to post on my xanga again even if no one really reads it anymore (which is probably my fault for not updating more often). So, Junior year is much better this semester, although no one really prepares you for the work/difficulty spike that occurs when your Sophomore years ends and your Junior year begins. Oh well. I like these more difficult classes, so it doesn't really matter much. I have felt very disorganized and not-together this semester. I keep waiting for that to change, and I think it's starting to do just that. Pearl of Wisdom for Today: "It's not tragic to be fifty--not unless you try to be twenty-five."
| So, I've realized that I haven't been keeping up this blog very well. This is an attempt to remedy that. Perhaps one of the reasons that this blog hasn't had many posts lately is because there isn't much going on in my life right now. I go to classes, go to work, do homework, and repeat that the next day. On the weekends, I get to hang out with my friends, and that's always nice. When I have more to say, it'll be here. P.S.: Deciding your future is scary when you fully comprehend the gravity of it. | | |
| If anyone would like to know what Dante's inner circle of hell is like, ask me because I'm in it. I am in a class where basically, I am insulted, graded more harshly than others, and am given writing tips I wouldn't give a ten year old. And occasionally the instructor uses us as an ego boost (look how great I am, etc.). And there isn't a single thing I can do about it, except for hold on until it's over, which is in.......two months. But at least it's a weekly class, not three times a week or anything. I could go on and on, but I won't. Other than that, life is going well. I enjoy my other classes, and work isn't bad at all. I guess I'll write more later--it's getting late. | | |
| Yeah, I know, it's been a while. Sorry.
I've settled in well in the upperclassmen apts. Yup...I've definately moved up in the world. But now, I'm a full-time student who also works ten hours a week. That may get to be very hectic, but for about $50ish a week for at least 14 weeks....I think I can take it.
Guess what I did last night? Read some of the book for my nutrition class....while eating cookies. YES.
Tomorrow is my apartment roomie's birthday celebration (her b-day is actually Monday, but celebrating early is fun), so that should make a great ending to a overall good but busy first week of classes.
Just wanted to let the maybe three people who read this know that I'm still alive. That's all.
| I know, it's been a while since I've posted. I've been enjoying my summer break for a few weeks now. My now former (*sob*) roomie's wedding is less than a month away, and I have to get cracking on the present I'm making for her, which I hope to have done before the bridal shower coming up soon. Did I mention that I'm a bridesmaid? Oh yes...
Not much going on. My future apartment-mate (Jenna) and I are busy planning out who should bring what. Now that we know room themes, etc., it's becoming very fun.
So I'm off to go work on the wedding gift some more, watch Jeopardy (I like to see how many questions I can get right), and go out on errands, etc. with my mom, all while being in stitches. Literally.
By the way, the movie listed is one that I saw last night. It's a foreign film, but it's really good, and I highly recommend it. It's about how God works miracles in our lives.
